We are at the cabin at the lake this week. When we were outside visiting with all the animals we spotted the heron was back and he was walking around the lake.
Ma has a new camera with a super zoom.
She decided to see if she could get a good shot of the heron
without moving from the spot she was sitting.
Here is the outcome
She moved over a few inches to get a better shot
Very nice capture - love it. They should have taken a photo of you next to it as well - woof!
ReplyDeleteAfter watching the bird stab that fish multiple times with its beak, I didn't want to get anywhere near it. It might have stabbed me in the eye.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot! Herons are such cool looking birds and that one even has a fish! Wow!
ReplyDeleteThe bird was entertaining to watch. I bet we watched it for 20 minutes. I was amazed it was able to swallow that big fish.

They are funny bird, aren't they? We see them here sometimes by the water too.
ReplyDeleteThey are funny to watch walk. When it would see a fish it would hold still as if it was a statue. I also think it was keeping an eye on me too. I would move and it would be statute still.
DeleteI also have a standard poodle, who has his own page on my creativity blog. He watched a heron fly over one day, land on my neighbor's roof. Cole looked at me, I said okay, and he ran across the street to "get it". The look on his face when he looked up, turned back to me was unforgetable!! He ran all the way around their house, barked and slowly returned home disappointed.
