It's no secret that I am a poodle who can not swim
*note* (My pool is 42" deep so I can stand up with my head above water)
My 1st try was unsuccessful.
Ma says I need to open my eyes
We took a break and dad gave me encouragement
My 2nd attempt , ma was calling me to come to her.
My 3rd attempt, dad gave me a push and I started paddling
with all my might!
I WAS DOING IT!
I was SWIMMING!!
I am so proud of myself
and look forward to swimming some more.
Wednesday's Wags!
Well done Carma, we KNEW you could do it. Swimming is every dog's summer pleasure!
ReplyDeleteMa said she would get me a life jacket to make it easier for me but thought it was important to learn to swim without it first. Never know when a flood or something will come.
DeleteFUN FUN FUN!!! Great way to stay cool. Happy BlogPaws WW. Golden Woofs
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday Sugar and family!
DeleteAwesome job Carma!!!
ReplyDeleteGood girl Carma!! It looks like you had a great support system in the pool with you. We are proud of you. ♥
ReplyDeleteYou got that dog paddle down! I've been swimming since I was about 3 months old, but Bailie just learned to swim this summer. She loves it too.
ReplyDeleteAll my fur siblings can swim but I have been trying to learn for the last 5 summers. Thanks for stopping by
DeleteAwww well done. I dont know how to swim and I wish I have your determination to learn =) #ww
ReplyDeleteThank you. I love getting in the pool but I only like it when the pawents hold me. Its a great way to cool off.
DeleteThank you for stopping by.
Great job! Practice makes perfect!! Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteWell done Carma, concatulations ! We love to play with water, not more : we think we would be able to swim to save our lives, but not for fun ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Carma!!!
ReplyDeleteAt least you get into the water. We are convinced we will melt.
ReplyDeleteGreat job!! Practice makes perfect!!
ReplyDeleteYay! Great job, Carma!
ReplyDeleteThe more you swim, the more you will love it, especially on a hot day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a little bathing beauty you are! My peeps can’t swim.
ReplyDeleteYay Carma!!! My Mom used to be a lifeguard and taught swimming back in the day, want her to come and teach you? Barks and licks and love, Dakota
ReplyDeleteHooray! We're so happy for you, Carma! And PROUD of you, too. :)
ReplyDeleteLook at you go Carma!
ReplyDeleteDon't give up Carma! Swimming is fun, once you know how.
ReplyDeleteGood job, Carma! Mr. N doesn't like to swim but he can.
ReplyDeleteSo cute!! Good job! I love swimming doggies! Our last 2 dogs never swam. (Well, the beagle swam once for a VERY SHORT BIT, but only because we put her in the pool to make sure she'd know how to get out. She hated water!) Rita will swim a tiny bit (and it's the cutest thing ever!) but only if I wade out. She loves to dunk down in the water, but hates to swim!
ReplyDeleteCole poodle won't swim, we think it's because he gets a bath after, and that's enough to put one off it. And his hair gets kinky. Good for you girl!
ReplyDeleteLeeAnna
Hey there Couz - so happy to hear you've overcome your fear of water, you go Girl - Harley
ReplyDelete*high paws* Good for you Carma! You're going to love taking dips in the pool with your family now!
ReplyDeleteYou are so beautiful Carma! Nice job with the swimming - this is only the beginning for loads of fun - WOOF!
ReplyDeleteLOL! You are the second dog I've ever known who couldn't swim. My dog Becky Anne couldn't swim either. It was because she kept trying to touch the bottom with her back legs while keeping her head up above water. Even after showing her how to do it, she'd end up doing the same thing again. So silly. :)
ReplyDeletePAWSOME, Carma!!! We're so proud of you! You're going to have SO much fun!
ReplyDeleteWe want to thank you too for supporting us and encouraging us so much during the mike's contest. You are a sharing-superstar!
We love you,
Glogirly, Katie & Waffles
Carma, you're such a brave girl. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? You rock!
