Notice anything?
This little girl was surrendered to the vet's office and she was covered in fleas and mites. Poor little thing lost all of her hair and has a large scab on her side from scratching. We will be keeping her to help her to continue to get healthy and give her time to grow her hair back. Then we will find her the purrfect home. I don't know much about her right now because today is her first day.Ma says we need to let her get used to her new surroundings before we start to socialize her. Right now I just lay by her cage nice and quiet. Cinnamon can't wait to meet her nose to nose. She looks so tiny next to Cinnamon.
I feel bad that someone let her get so itchy that she lost all her fur. That must have been miserable for her. The vet made her feel much better and not itchy anymore. They would have loved to kept her longer but they really needed the cage she was in for other patients. Hopefully her hair will grow back soon.
Ma sorta regrets giving our other guinea pig cage to the humane society. This little girl is staying in a dog kennel right now. All our guinea pigs have started out in the dog kennel.BOL! I don't know how long we will keep her but I hope to get some better photos of her in a day or two.
The vet staff was calling her Mira. Dad says we should call her Spice and sissy says we should call her Sugar. That way we would have Cinnamon and Spice or Sugar and Cinnamon.
What do you think we should call her?
Cookie and you'd have Cinnamon Cookie!
ReplyDeleteOh that is a good name! Makes me want a cookie.
DeletePoor little thing. Hope she feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteShe is really really shy. This morning she came out when ma refilled the food bowls. She doesn't eat veggies or fruits. :(
DeleteYou have a huge heart, taking her in. She's so lucky you found her!
ReplyDeleteWe hope to get her totally healed and allow her to be the best piggy she can be.
DeleteOh Carma, I know you and your family will take good care of that little girl. She looks adorable. You know I love Piggies!
ReplyDeleteOz
She has the sweetest face and is so tiny. Maybe its because Cinnamon is a big boy but he is also 4 years older than her. She came out to say hello this morning so hopefully we can get some better photos this afternoon.
DeleteSo glad that she found her way to a safe place while she recovers and heals :)
ReplyDeleteLUNCH! HAH! Seriously she is cute and I can’t wait for better pics. You’re good woofies for not harming the guinea pigs. I’d be all over her.
ReplyDeletePoor little thing ! It's nice to give her a safe place to recover. Purrs
ReplyDeletewhat a sweetheart, you are an Angel too!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable little cutie! Enjoy and as we say 'around the ranch,' live long and foster. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a safe and happy 4th of July.
Taking her home and nursing her back to health is such a great gift to this little girl! Good on you, Carma! She looks very cute and I'm sure with the vet's and your help, she'll be feeling much beter soon. If she's very shy and sweet, maybe Sugar suits her. :-)
ReplyDeleteFunny thing. We're fostering a guinea pig right now too, who also is living in a dog crate! Unlike yours, ours is in good health. Glad you stepped up. I'm not surprised, just happy to hear it.
